@ Scott and Michelle
This is a little late in responding to your earlier posts, but I'd love to know what activities you do with your primary students in Scratch. The youngest grade I have introduced Scratch to is fourth grade, and I'm hesitant to go younger. I'd love to get a peek at your lesson plans. Also, do either of you post resources at ScratchEd? I haven't visited in a while, so I guess that is sort of a lazy question when I could go and look myself...

Let me know if you would like to write articles about Scratch for L&L. Some elementary curriculum ideas would be great!

This is my second year working with Scratch with younger students and they love it. I am trying to work it more into the curriculum and have been organizing a Scratch Day here. Hopefully we will get more teachers to see the value of this program. I actually think I discovered Scratch through L&L but I think it is worth a full article. Many people are using it in isolation and would probably appreciate information and feedback.

I'm working with Scratch, and while it's technically not a game, it's a fabulous game-building/programming platform from our friends at MIT's Lifelong Kindergarten. I'm learning it myself whilst laying it out for my 2nd through 4th graders at my school, so I have a nice, tidy, captive audience of over 200 kids at three age levels to watch and see how they progress. I think I mentioned Quest Atlantis here earlier, and my month-long work with my 4th graders there is providing me with some good fodder for NECC, where I'll be helping with a Birds of a Feather there, God willin' and the creek don't rise...
